I have also always been not like the other boys I preferred the company of girls and the activities girls where doing. It was a long hard journey exploring and accepting my sexuality, gender identity, and the feminine side of me.\u00a0<\/p>

I looked to my love of birds to help partly because they where so free to just fly away, but mostly because it's the males in most bird species that have these amazing colors, crests and striking appearances yet they are still male, and that's how I felt.<\/p>

I have a special love for flamingos, tall, pink, and elegant. I felt a familiarity and as crazy as it sounds is where I found my acceptance of my more feminine side.\u00a0<\/p>

Everytime I saw them at a zoo I would spend a long time just observing them and I felt at peace.\u00a0<\/p>

Being around birds and nature has always been the best healer. No matter how hard life becomes, a walk in nature to watch the birds always brings me back to peace.<\/p>

A lifelong animal lover with a particular passion for birds, Scottie always dreamed of working with them in some capacity. Though life took a different path, that passion never faded. Now, nothing brings more joy than visiting birds of prey centres, exploring zoos, birdwatching whenever possible, and capturing bird photographs\u00a0along\u00a0the\u00a0way.<\/p>
